Join us in marking the Flower Moon with led meditation, story telling, poetry and reflections both during the session and for when the session ends, so you can step outdoors and engage with the full moon in your own unique way- guidance will be given on how to do this.
The Native Americans have a name for every full moon of the year. Last month’s was the Pink Moon which symbolised the coming of spring. May’s full moon is known as the Flower Moon because it rises when flowers are beginning to bloom and blossom. The full moon will be at full luminosity at 11.45am so you will be seeing the moon that evening, when it rises at 9pm, when it is slowly turning into a Waning Gibbous with 99.6% illumination.
No experience of meditation needed, Claire will lead you through all the practices. All you need is:
- Access to Zoom via laptop/PC or tablet/iPad/ phone (you will need to download the Zoom app if using the latter)
- Somewhere comfortable to sit in meditation- cushions, chair, sofa, mat if you wish to lie down.
- Pen and paper for the reflection exercise
