Mindfulness Teachers
Through supervision, mentoring, and reflective practice. I help teachers build confidence, deepen their teaching skills, and integrate trauma-informed, safe, and effective approaches into their work
Having qualified as a Mindfulness teacher with Breathworks Manchester in 2018 (and in MBSR a few years later) I know how teachers can feel isolated and lack professional support. As teachers we long to deepen our confidence and hone our teaching skills and yet there is so much to navigate- trauma-informed practice and safeguarding, balancing authenticity with professional boundaries, transitioning from training into real-world teaching, and building sustainable, ethical mindfulness work.
As a registered BAMBA mindfulness teacher and supervisor, I have extensive experience supporting the professional development of mindfulness teachers.
While serving as the Mindfulness Coordinator at Mind in Salford, I trained and supported over 60 people to become qualified BAMBA recognised mindfulness teachers. I am well-versed in BAMBA requirements, the MBI:TAC framework, competencies, and professional standards, ensuring that teachers I supervise meet high standards of practice and ethical teaching.

Through supervision, mentoring, and reflective practice, I help mindfulness teachers build confidence, deepen their teaching skills, and integrate trauma-informed, safe, and effective approaches into their work, whether in one-to-one or group settings. My approach combines professional rigour with a supportive, reflective space to foster growth and resilience as a teacher.
Kind words from Mindfulness Teachers
‘’I really appreciate Lilasuri’s support as a supervisor and mindfulness coach. Being a facilitator brings up so much to reflect on, and her calm holding, deep listening, intuition, and insight help me work through things in a way that leads to growth rather than overwhelm. She has a very human, grounded, heart-centred presence that makes it easy to be open, honest, and feel safe as I navigate challenges.
She is especially skilled at sensing what’s needed in the moment, both in one-to-one work and group settings. I experienced this when she helped me discover a unique and effective way to switch off after leading sessions, something I hadn’t been able to access before.’’
Jolene Sheehan, Mindfulness Teacher and Founder of Joy Ethic CIC
"Supervision gives me a safe space to reflect on my teaching experiences and what I’m learning about myself, my students, and my skills as a teacher. From the beginning, you created a compassionate environment that makes this possible. As we’ve got to know each other, supervision has become an open, thoughtful conversation. I value sharing my thoughts even when they’re still forming and exploring what’s really going on.
Your experience and insight help me uncover learning I couldn’t reach alone. I genuinely love our sessions. They deepen my practice and teaching, and I always leave wishing we had more time.
Nicky Prys-Jones, Mindfulness Teacher
"Lilasuri's approach to supervision comes from a place of warmth, authenticity and a wealth of experience, which I personally found very inspiring. During time spent with Lilasuri under supervision, I noticed my personal mindfulness practice and my approach to teaching mindfulness flourish.
I was able to be with my approach, be patience with my development and really trust in my emergence throughout the teacher training programme. It goes without saying, that I very highly recommend Lilasuri as a supervisor who can really help you grow from within"
