About The Event

Introduction to Mindfulness for Busy Minds

Saturday 13th October 2.00-4.30pm

Hollins Community Cente, Bury

No prior mindfulness/ meditation experience needed. This is an Adult only session.

Join us for two and a half hours of mindfulness practice that is guaranteed to help calm your busy mind and soothe your body. In the session you will be guided through several meditations and there will be an opportunity for you to discuss your experience and ask questions. Participants often find that sharing their experiences is one of the highlights of the day because we begin to appreciate that we aren't alone in what we feel and experience, and that we share things in common with others and this helps create a sense of belonging and ease.

Is it right for me?

This is a good question to ask yourself before you book on the session. Mindfulness is a wonderful tool for many people however you need to feel like you are in a 'good place' to receive it because mindfulness asks us to become more intimate with our experience and sometimes we simply cant do that, due to unresolved trauma or the long-term effects of clinical depression or heightened anxiety. If you are unsure, the best thing to do is to talk to Claire or Lisa who can tell you more about the session so you can make an informed choice.

The session will take place at Hollins Community Centre, Bury. We will provide a limited amount of blankets, cushions and yoga mats. If you have your own, please bring them along. Refreshments will be provided.

Cost: £12 (waged) / £6 (unwaged)

Your trainers on the day will be Claire from Wild Awake Mindfulness and Lisa Wilde- both are qualified mindfulness teachers trained through Breathworks.
