Start 2021 by joining Canal & River Trust and Wild Awake Mindfulness for a series of 4 FREE online sessions to help you to enjoy nature and increase your wellbeing whilst getting active in nature and on the canal.

During the pandemic many of us have been spending more time outdoors. So how can we continue to experience nature in a way that boosts our wellbeing?

These sessions are aimed at adults and will be hosted on Zoom. In the sessions you will meet other like minded people, learn how to be more mindful when out in nature, find out how walking can help to reduce anxiety and stress.

Everyone who takes part will be encouraged to go walking between the sessions so we can share our experiences together. The sessions will be led by Claire Morris a qualified mindfulness and nature connection teacher and founder of Wild Awake Mindfulness

Our first session is on Tuesday 2nd February 2021, 11.00am to 12.30pm. Please register to book your place.

This will be followed by sessions on:

Tuesday 9th February 2021

Tuesday 16th February 2021

Tuesday 23rd February 2021

We will also invite you to join our private Let's Walk Manchester Facebook group to share tips and stories about walking on our urban waterways.

We are keen for participants to attend all of the sessions, but this is not compulsory.

For more information please contact James Long: 07826 513 696 or james.long@canalrivertrust.org.uk

No experience of meditation needed, Claire will lead you through all the practices. All you need is:

- Access to Zoom via laptop/PC or tablet/iPad/ phone (you will need to download the Zoom app if using the latter)

- Somewhere comfortable to sit in meditation- cushions, chair, sofa, mat if you wish to lie down.

The session is being led by Claire Morris an experienced and qualified Mindfulness and Nature Connection Teacher with over 10 years personal mindfulness experience and over a decade working in the environmental sector.
