Mindfulness for Stress 8 Week Course
Time & Location
About The Event
Join us on an 8 week journey into Mindfulness
With our busy schedules and hectic lives mindfulness has never been more relevant or sought after.
We will be exploring how mindfulness can help us deal with stress by identifying what makes us stressed, what triggers anxiety, how the brain works in reinforcing our negative thinking patterns. Through this deeper understanding of ourselves we can begin to recognise when we are getting too stressed and what we can do about it. We will be learning meditation and mindfulness techniques that you can use everyday.
You will receive a copy of the course book 'The little Mindfulness Workbook' by Gary Hennessey who is one of the UK’s leading practitioners, he condenses his 35 years of experience into this practical guide to everyday mindfulness techniques. You will also receive a course handbook to keep a record of your experiences and access to the led meditations either on CD or downloadable. You can get a taster for some the meditations we will be doing by going to the Breathworks Soundcloud page HERE
Testimonials from the last course:
'The course has given me the opportunity to think about my life more carefully and consider how I could make things better, less stressful and calmer. And to appreciate the good things!'
'More of an awareness, excitement towards life rather than anxious states/ worry dominating. When experiencing a difficult emotion, ability to enquire rather than be overwhelmed'
'I thought Claire was a great teacher. A sensitive listener, creating an accepting, non-judgemental safe space for us to talk freely. Really good at explaining concepts and answering questions'
'The course gave me the words to describe my experience and the tools to gain more control of them. It taught me about the physicality of emotions and how to separate thoughts from their attached emotions'
