About The Event

Mindfulness in the Woods, Highfield Country Park, Levenshulme

Thursday 23rd May 7.00-8.15pm

Adults only please, £7

Join us for meditation in the woods. We will be paying attention to the nature around us by engaging our senses to the sights, sounds and smells and meditating throughout the session.

Mindfulness can help us to feel calm by being more in touch with the present moment experience. It takes us out of our busy heads and into our body.

No prior mindfulness experience needed. Please dress appropriately for the weather and your own comfort. We will be meditating in all conditions unless it is very stormy!

Meet at the Bowler Street Entrance to Highfield Country Park

This is an ADULT only session please and sorry no dogs.

What past participants have said:

‘This lovely event reminded me of the benefits of mindfulness and showed me how to notice every aspect of nature around us, with our eyes, ears and nose, and even in touch the breeze on our face and the feel of the ground through our shoes. I would recommend this to anyone, even if you don’t think it’s your style. Claire makes it into a lovely experience for all. I’ll be back for more’.

Andrew Read, Participant

‘I got the chance to get up close and personal with a tree whilst blindfolded. Not as weird as it sounds, but the ‘find my tree’ exercise we partnered up to do was something I enjoyed immensely and getting to chat to a few people as we walked was wonderful too. If you’re new to meditation or just want to practice mindfulness, I can’t recommend Wild Awake Mindfulness enough’.
